On November 10, Matthew Teismann will give a lecture at Kansas State University's APDesign program. On behalf of the AIAS chapter, Teismann will be presenting some of his work since graduating with honors from the program in 2007. Titled, 'Non-Operational Architecture: Meta-Phenomenology and the (Un)known', the lecture will focus on the aspects of architecture that are beyond perception of the object, yet still require the building itself as a physical construct. Teismann will elucidate projects stemming from the inception of LIONarchitecture to their more recent houses in Kansas City, as well as more theoretical work he is undertaking at Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
The event is free and open to the public.
